We happily accommodate large groups and school groups!
We have limited staff and space, so please contact us in advance to let us know how many people to expect. We begin admitting large groups at 10:15 am Monday-Saturday. Please send the following information to Lhopmuseum@gmail.com:
- Your name and the name of your organization (where applicable).
- A contact email address.
- A contact phone number (cell phone or a number affiliated with your group)
- The date and time you plan on visiting.
- How many children will be in your group.
- How many adults will be in your group.
- Do you plan on having a picnic on the grounds?
Once we receive your email our staff will check our calendar to ensure there aren't any scheduling conflicts and respond within 1 to 2 business days.
Please call us 24-48 hours in advance of your visit to reconfirm.
As a non-profit we operate on donations and gift shop sales at the site. All admission and gift shop funds go right back into upkeep and educational programs. As such, we respectfully request that large groups pay the admission of $1 per child and 3$ per adult. With your help we have kept the admission fees at the same rate for the past 15 years. Thank you for helping keep Laura Ingalls Wilder's memory alive!
School Groups- if you will arrive with multiple buses please let us know so we can email you a parking map.
Groups with more than 20 children require adequate adult supervision. We will break your party into smaller groups to visit the post office and cabin because they are very small structures.
